Lead Platform Developer – Deep Tech – Semiconductor Industry

For an innovative deep tech startup in Twente/Deventer, we are looking for a System Architect who wants to help build a groundbreaking technology for the semiconductor industry from the ground up.
The organization possesses a patented coating technology that is applied to wafers, enabling the possibility to improved dissipation of thermal energy. As a result, chips can be cooled more efficiently, deliver better performance, and the reliability and lifespan of semiconductors are increased. This technology addresses one of the biggest challenges in today’s semiconductor industry: controlling heat generation in increasingly powerful chips.
To apply this coating reproducibly and with extremely high precision, the organization is developing an entirely new dispensing platform. The technology has now moved beyond the research phase; the first demonstrations for international clients are scheduled.
You will be part of the core founding team, led by an experienced and successful entrepreneur from the semiconductor industry. There is also close collaboration with leading knowledge institutes, where the latest scientific insights are translated into industrial applications.

Jouw werkdag?

As Lead Platform Developer, you are responsible for the development of the complete hardware for a new dispensing platform for the semiconductor industry. You translate process requirements into a robust, reproducible, and industrial system that can apply coatings to wafers with utmost precision.
Together with the Head of Wet Chemistry, you draw up the Program of Requirements (PoR). Based on these requirements, you determine the system architecture and make the technical choices for, among other things:

• ?Fluid handling and liquid transport;
• ?Mixing systems;
• ?Highly precise dispensing units;
• ?Sensors for, among others, pH, viscosity and optical measurements;
• ?Cooling and temperature control;
• ?Motion and positioning systems;
• ?Control, interfaces and safety provisions.

The detailed engineering is carried out by specialized engineering partners. You divide the project into logical work packages, select the right suppliers and engineering partners, and monitor the technical cohesion between all subsystems. You focus on quality, planning, manufacturability, and performance.
When the various modules are realized, you supervise the system integration and are closely involved in the assembly, verification, and validation of the complete platform in the workshop. You ensure that all hardware, software, and process components work together as designed.
After delivery, you remain involved during implementation at the client. You work with the technical teams of the end user on the integration of the dispensing platform with existing production tools and support commissioning and optimization of the system.
This means you are not only the architect of the system, but also the person who ensures that the design truly evolves into a reliable product that is successfully applied in a high-tech production environment.

• € 5500 - € 7500 bruto per maand
